Retreat is a call to turn within. To release the constant movement of the body-mind and return to a place of being and knowing that is deeply restful, easy, and natural. In retreat, we observe longer periods of stillness, silence, and surrender to discover the universal Self that remains after we let go completely. When you gift yourself more time to meditate, you’re allowing your practice to deepen. You’re remembering your true nature as sat-chit-anand: existence, consciousness, and bliss.
Led by WITHIN Meditation teacher Devon Pipars, the retreat will include:
Guided and unguided meditation
Journaling and reflection
Group sharing and discussion
This opportunity is limited to just 10 people. Each person will have the opportunity to share, be heard, and ask questions of Devon, and of the group.
About the Retreat Facilitator
Devon Pipars is a teacher and blogger for WITHIN Meditation, who also works with corporate wellness companies. She is a featured voice for the meditation training device Core, as well as a senior instructor on the Core app (hellocore.com).
Meditation is Devon’s passion and purpose. A meditator since 2002, the practice has been deeply transformative for her. After devoting four years to the study and practice of meditation under the guidance of a master teacher in the Indian Himalayas, Devon’s sessions incorporate multiple traditions and techniques including mindfulness, breath work, mantra, gratitude practice & loving kindness.
Devon is masterful at translating all she’s learned into simple terms, making her classes appropriate for first-time meditators as well as experts. No matter what your experience level, her approach effectively reduces stress and promotes well-being.
What To Expect & How To Prepare
When you register, Devon will email you with the Zoom link to join, and several questions to reflect on in advance.
On the day of the retreat, you'll want to find a quiet space where you can be undisturbed for the full 3.5 hours, and set up a comfortable place to sit. Bring a journal and something to write with, and be sure to have water/tea and snacks nearby. You might also like to have a blanket.
On Sunday morning, we'll gather via Zoom at 10am PDT. Devon will set the tone for the retreat with a brief talk and guided meditation, followed by periods of journaling/reflection, discussion, and unguided meditation. You may turn off your camera if you wish when we meditate, but will need to be on-camera during the group discussions. We will be taking one break in between the two longer meditations as space for a bathroom trip and light, mindful snacking. We will end by 1:30pm PDT.
Who Should Come
This retreat is open to all. If you've been building a meditation practice for just a few weeks, for several years, or anything in-between, you'll appreciate the clarity and stillness that come from sitting for longer periods of time, and engaging with others in a safe space.
What It Costs
Participation in this retreat is $60. Registering for the retreat secures your spot. If you cancel up to a week in advance, we will give you a full refund. No refunds are given after that point.
What If I Can't Join Live? Will This Be Recorded?
If you're interested in this retreat, but are unable to make it live on July 25th, we would still love to have you experience it! Devon will be recording her talks and the meditation sessions, which you can use to do your own private meditation retreat.
Just choose the registration option "Retreat Recording (No Live Access)" and we'll email you the recording the following day. You can then do the retreat on your own schedule anytime in the following 7 days. The recording will be available to you until 8am PDT on Monday 8/2.
Please note the recording will not include the discussion and sharing portions of the retreat, to protect the privacy of those joining live.
