Connecting with Gratitude: Thanksgiving Day Meditation Class

  • WITHIN Meditation Online via Zoom (map)

The holidays can be challenging, especially in light of continued safety measures that may limit travel or large family gatherings. Join us for a special Thanksgiving Day meditation class with WITHIN teacher Desiree Matloob.

After being welcomed to our virtual gathering, you'll be part of a group discussion on how meditation invites more gratitude into your life, and nourishes relationships with present awareness, compassion, and loving-kindness. There will be a guided meditation practice, and time for Q&A.

This class will be held 8:30-9:15am PST / 11:30am-12:15pm EST online via Zoom; the link will be provided to you via email when you register. Registration is $10 (free for WITHIN Members with promo code). Click here to sign up!

Desiree is looking forward to sharing Thanksgiving with you!

About the Teacher

Desiree Matloob is passionate about using mindfulness to help people better connect with themselves and with what matters most. She has been practicing meditation since 2009, and since 2016 has made a yearly 10-day silent meditation retreat a part of her personal practice. She currently teaches meditation and co-leads mindfulness strategy at her workplace, Humana, and has been leading meditation at Congregation Emanu-El since 2017.

Desiree is also passionate about mindful communication, and since completing the BayNVC (Nonviolent Communication) Immersion Program, has been facilitating a monthly Mindful Communication Practice Group and Taboo Topic Salon to create space to practice and integrate authentic conversations into daily life.

Outside of meditation, Desiree gets to live her dream job at her day job, where she works on partnerships to address the growing loneliness and mental health epidemics in the U.S.
