Sonal Kalra
Sonal Kalra was initiated into meditation as a child while growing up in India, and it has since become an integral part of her everyday life. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Sonal is the founder of CONNECT Meditation, an organization dedicated to offering transformative mindfulness and meditation experiences that empower participants to unlock connection, insight, resilience, and inner freedom. As a certified meditation teacher, she blends ancient wisdom with modern science and contemporary practices, offering accessible and practical tools for modern-day practitioners. Sonal incorporates a range of techniques, including guided mindfulness meditations, body relaxation exercises, visualizations, somatic EMDR tools, and sound baths with the healing frequencies of crystal singing bowls, Koshi Chimes, tuning forks, and Tingsha bells.
Sonal believes meditation is a profoundly self-empowering practice that meets individuals where they are, guiding them to a deeper connection with their true essence. She views meditation as a way to live life with an inside-out approach, cultivating ease, focus, compassion, worthiness, love, joy, resilience, inner freedom, and clarity. With a trauma-informed, compassionate approach, Sonal creates safe and nurturing spaces for participants to connect to awareness, grounded in mindfulness and well-being.
Sonal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, an MBA in Human Resource Development, a Master’s degree in Labor Laws and Labor Welfare, and a Diploma in Training and Development.
