This guided meditation story class can help you revisit the magic and wisdom found within storytelling. This class will explore familiar stories, from fables to children's tales, poems to myths, retold by the your teller of stories, Kimberley, followed by a guided ‘absorption’ meditation.
We’ll use meditation techniques such as tuning into our senses, becoming familiar with our own energy, and enabling alignment and coherence inside our bodies. All that's required is your presence and openness to hear the story.
On May 30th, we’ll be exploring the fairy tale of Cinderella. The lesson, or theme is to be kind and work hard, with little to no preference or expectations as to outcomes. Choosing to be unkind, jealous, and /or mean also carries consequences which may or may not show up immediately, may take years to reflect a particular choice. Remaining good, kind and unattached to the behaviours, drama and hardships of all of life’s squalls can be liberating.
In this session, we'll read this story with fresh eyes and then discuss how to apply any lessons to our own lives, followed by a guided meditation. We’ll use meditation techniques such as tuning into our senses, becoming familiar with our own energy, and enabling alignment and coherence inside our bodies. Click here to sign up!
This special class will be held once a month on Thursdays 8:30-9:15am PT / 11:30am-12:15pm ET online via Zoom, with a different story or poem each month. The link will be provided to you via email when you register. Registration is $10 (free for WITHIN Members).

About the Teacher
Kimberley Cooper was born and raised in Scotland. After completing teacher training, and post-graduate studies in special needs, she travelled the globe for several years gaining insight, experiences, knowledge and education from all corners of the world. She is a certified NLP practitioner, holds certifications in Guidance, counselling, life-coaching, Reiki, and The Emotional Body Code. Her training in the practice of yoga, meditation and mindfulness have come from various teachers, including Robert Boustany, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Jose DeSilva, Michael Brown, Wayne Dyer and Dr. Joe Dispenza, Ram Dass and Goenka.
Kimberley is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences, including how other cultures develop mindfulness through their unique meditation techniques and practices, using peace and space, she offers guidance to others to explore their perceived barriers, liberating each individual to live their absolute best lives.
She has been raised on experiences; educated by life; awareness seeker; knowledge gatherer; laughter lover; wife; mother; writer; friend to many; work in progress. She has taught meditation and mindfulness for Unwind Meditation Studio since 2018.
