Zacha Belok

Zacha Belok offers his spiritual teachings through somatic meditation and movement. For the past eight years, he has practiced tending the mind-body gap as a Somatic Movement Therapist, with techniques from somatic psychology and neurobiology. By way of dance, Zacha became interested in the body's capacity to direct a spiritual and healing path. Through nine years of study, this calling found refuge in The Discipline of Authentic Movement, The School for Body-Mind Centering, The Trauma Institute, and The Tamalpa Institute. By offering both psychological and physiological perspectives, Zacha's teaching fosters an individuals' capacity to correlate physiological homeostasis with their mental experience of self. His psycho-somatic approach supports individuals to navigate life, work, and spiritual turning points at the level of their unique nervous system.

Before post-graduate study, Zacha received a BA in Anthropology from Wesleyan University, where he researched environmental aptitudes for stress. Learning how to practically and tactfully regain control of the body amidst environmental stress has helped Zacha successfully guide hundreds of individuals using simple tools of embodiment and presence. His writings have been featured in well-being publications like We Create Space and Centered Mental Health Toolkit. Currently, Zacha teaches students individually, partners with corporations like Salesforce, AppDynamics, & Masco Corp to deliver evidence-based mental wellness programs, and in his free time practices the Discipline of Authentic Movement as a self-directed learner.
