Being pregnant is such a wild ride! As your body works overtime to create the amazing being growing inside, you experience new (and often uncomfortable) physical sensations; emotions that range from joyful to miserable; and information overload about everything you should and shouldn't do while carrying a child and giving birth.
Let's take a step back, and make space for you to feel and understand what's happening in your body, heart and mind during this amazing journey. Meditation is a powerful way to reconnect with your innate ability to create and nourish this new being inside you. Combine that with being in community with other expectant mothers, and this life-changing time can become truly transformational.
In each prenatal meditation class, you'll have the opportunity to share about your ups and downs, and learn from the other mamas in the group as they do the same. WITHIN Meditation Cofounder Hannah Knapp will lead everyone in guided mindfulness meditation, helping you tune into your body and fully appreciate what you're going through in the moment. Each session includes an open Q&A about mindfulness in pregnancy, and closes with a specific practice to try on your own throughout the following week.
This series of five classes will give you the tools, practice, and community you need to experience pregnancy to its fullest, and prepare you for a mindful childbirth. Join us for all five sessions for just $35, or drop in when you can to reconnect and relax for $10 per class.
Hannah Knapp has been meditating since 2012, when she dove in head-first with a 10-day Vipassana retreat. It was during that retreat that she realized she was ready for the adventure of pregnancy and parenting. Coming out of that experience, she knew she needed a community to practice with: there was just nothing like meditating with other people. Her passion for sharing the power of mindfulness has led her to launch (and lead) group meditations wherever she’s worked, and to start WITHIN Meditation in 2017.
Through mindfulness, she’s developed a deep resilience, focus, and capacity to love that she draws on every day, both as the mom of two young children and as a start-up founder. As a wellness coach, she integrates mindfulness with positive psychology and nutrition to help her clients meet their health goals and develop the inner resilience they need to embrace life's challenges. She’s delighted to be leading meditation sessions in our online studio and in companies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country, while building an amazing team of teachers at WITHIN.
