Wednesday Evenings October 21-December 16 7:30-8:45pm PDT

Day-Long Retreat Saturday December 5th 9:30am-4:30pm PDT

All Sessions Online

Elements of Mindfulness is an eight-week virtual meditation & mindfulness series incorporating evidence-based practices designed to reduce stress, and promote resilience, wisdom and ease.

You’ll learn mindfulness systematically, engaging in both formal meditation techniques and informal practices, that you can draw on everyday to help you meet life’s demands and connect with the joy of being human.

With the help of WITHIN teacher Adam Moskowitz, you will:

  • Build your personal meditation practice, step by step;

  • Become more present in your daily life;

  • Experience the support and inspiration of a committed group.

The course includes eight 75-minute online meetings, 7:30-8:45pm PDT on Wednesday nights, October 21st-December 16th (skipping November 25th) and an online day-long retreat on Saturday December 5th, plus additional opportunities to build your practice, online and at home.

What to Expect

In each of the eight virtual meetings, we will explore the challenges and joys of practice, relating it to a weekly theme, as you gradually build mindfulness into your life. You’ll also share about what you’re learning and experiencing, and hear about other participants’ journeys. Part of what makes this course so powerful is the community that grows among everyone in it, as you support and learn from each other.

Your enrollment in the course includes:

  • Weekly 75 minute virtual meetings using video conferencing, enabling us to meditate together, and engage in small and large group discussion;

  • A day-long virtual retreat to help you integrate and deepen everything you’ve learned in the first six weeks of the course;

  • Weekly content based on key aspects of mindfulness practice: daily practices to support you to integrate mindfulness into your life, and occasional emails to support you throughout your day;

  • Access to high-quality guided meditation recordings for your daily use;

  • A community forum to write about your experience, and comment on that of others;

  • Additional, optional “drop-in” meditations using video conferencing throughout the week.

I felt very supported by the guidance Adam provided throughout the course. The content he shared during and outside of class was very relevant and illuminating, encouraging me to open in ways I would not have otherwise. Adam is a natural teacher, meeting his students exactly where they are, and always bringing a kind, welcoming energy to the room. I highly recommend taking Elements of Mindfulness.

Elements of Mindfulness FAQs

How much does it cost?
For $345, you’ll be enrolled in all eight virtual meetings, the day-long retreat, and all the online support listed above. ** Scholarships are available - please email us at sit@withinmeditation.com if cost is a barrier for you. **

Where will I go for classes?
All virtual meetings and meditation sessions, plus the day-long retreat, will be held via Zoom, making it easy for you to join from your home. All you need is access to the internet and you’re set!

When will I come to a class?
The virtual sessions for the course are held 7:30-8:45pm PDT on eight Wednesdays, October 21st through December 16th, skipping November 25th (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving). The day-long retreat will be held 9:30am-4:30pm PDT on Saturday December 5th.

How often will I need to come to class?
The classes in this course will build on each other, so when you sign up, you’re committing to coming to all eight of them, plus the day-long retreat.

What happens in class?
Each class includes: a check-in about how your practice is going; instruction and insight from Adam on that week's techniques and practices; and Q&A.

Who teaches the classes?
Adam Moskowitz will teach the eight classes in the course and lead the retreat.

Do I need any special clothes or equipment?
All you need is access to the internet! One of our favorite things about meditation is that you don't need anything special to do it. Just log on as you are.

Can I start and stop during the course?
You’ll learn the most - and do the most to build your meditation practice - if you attend all eight classes between October 21st and December 16th. However, if you need to miss one of the eight classes, Adam will help you catch up on what you missed.

I tend to jump into things, and then not finish them. How can I be sure I'll make it through the course?

The best part about doing this course is the accountability and inspiration we give you to keep you on-track. Adam will check in with you and the other students each class, to help you stick with it.

What happens if I sign up, and then realize it's not right for me? Do you give refunds?
We want you to feel totally comfortable dipping your toes into the meditation waters with us. If you join Elements of Mindfulness, and decide any time during first week that it's not for you, we'll give you a full refund. You must request the refund by 11:59pm PDT on October 27th for us to honor it.
